Merrimack Concert Band

11 April 2001 - This is where you can download mp3 files of the music we're playing in May 2001. Right click on the url and save the file to your hard drive and then play it. Don't "left click" the mouse because it will load the file into whatever player is registered to play mp3s and not be saved to your hard drive. If you have any problems please email me at theClaw56@comcast.net and I'll try to solve them.

16 April 2001 - I used software to slow down the last three songs: Wood Sprites, Instant Concert, and Galop. My cassette deck is stuck at about twice normal speed. Hopefully the pitch is close enough on those last three. I played along with my sax and it seems to be in tune.

The only song for which there is no mp3 is Sleigh Ride. Hopefully I'll get that up here soon.

THUNDER AND BLAZES

This is from the March 20th rehearsal. It’s quite a bit slower than how we’ll play it, but it should be helpful to get that fingering down.

Computers are wonderful!! The selection above was our first time through and was quite slow. So, I took the 1:41 cut and shortened it to 1:21 to give you something to really practice the chromatic runs with. The software keeps the pitch the same, just increases the tempo. So, try playing to this one too!

This is also from the March 20th rehearsal and is at the original slower tempo. If anyone wants a faster version of this just let me know and I'll speed it up too.
